To discover all the wonderful attractions in Sydney I would highly recommend that you hire a car and travel to all the destinations that you want to see and not the ones the tour guide has selected for you. You will get more satisfaction out of driving around the town, over the Sydney Harbor Bridge and through the beautiful suburbs than you will sitting in the back of a bus. The car rental Sydney airport agents have their names on the Vroom comparison website which means big savings for you through the well known and trusted car rental brands.
Sailing around the Sydney harbor can be quite an exciting adventure too as you can often try your hand at fishing or keep your eyes out for the penguins or sea lions that frequent the coast line. You can explore all of the quite alcoves and hidden bays or look for celebrity mansions that we all dream of buying. Sydney harbor is the famous home of the Sydney Opera House amongst other very prominent buildings and heritage sites. After driving from the car rental Sydney airport agent and finding your hotel then charter a harbor cruise and see a great deal of Sydney all in just one day.
There are about a dozen reputable harbor cruises that leave shore each day to ferry the tourists around the sites. Most of these leave from the Circular Quay which is a wharf in the center of the city where the Sydney harbor ferries depart from. If you are unsure of how to get there, simply ask one of the agents at the car hire depot for instructions as they are always very happy to help.

Sydney is a city where you can honestly say it is what you make of it on the day you travel. It you enjoy a good night life and clubbing is your scene then head out into town and see what you can see. Sydney does often have a reputation of being a violent city at night but in my experience it is the bouncers that cause most of the trouble instead of acting like the peace keepers which is the job they are paid to do. Other than that I have never had any trouble when walking around in Sydney and always feel safe because of the strong police presence in the main part of town.
If you prefer to do something on a quieter note then you should try the wineries outside of town. This is part of the heritage of Australia and you can find a great place to taste test cheese and wines no matter what direction you travel outside of town. There are the hunter valley wineries that are roughly a 1 or 2 hour drive from the Sydney airport. If you like the idea of driving yourself and making sure you don’t have too much to drink all the good wineries have a breathalyzer so you can test yourself before you leave.
If you hire a car from the car rental Sydney airport agents they can help you make your tour of Sydney a successful one. Our journey entailed taking a group of 8 people in a people mover around all the sites, both clubs and wineries plus the zoo, the Sydney harbor bridge walk and the Opera House. It was a great vacation even though I decided to be the designated driver. I planned ahead and made sure that everyone in the group kept an eye on my drinking and I myself made sure to spit the wine rather than swallow it. I can recommend the tours and definitely the benefit of hiring a car to go the extra mile.
